The holiday is kicking up into full gear already, with Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales just around the corner! While you’re preparing for a mad dash to get all your loved ones gifts in time for the winter holidays, we’re here to make sure you don’t forget about our personal favorite sales day: Small Business Saturday!
This year is the 12th anniversary of Small Business Saturday, a holiday created as a counterbalance to big-box retail and e-commerce promotions! It’s certainly nice to get two-day shipping, but we also love the feeling of knowing after we click “Submit Order” at a small business that there’s a human behind the screen out there in the world doing a little happy dance at earning another sale.
So, in honor of Small Business Saturday, here are five small businesses we love!

Lucy sells book and fandom candles, apparel, and art prints! We’re partial to her Luxury Lit line, especially Manon from Throne of Glass and Evangeline from Once Upon a Broken Heart!
Nerdy Ink

Alexis has a family-run business selling tees and dust jackets! You may have seen her gorgeous ACOTAR dust jackets trending on Instagram and TikTok in the past (we’ve got a set ourselves and adore them), but we’re also partial to the grammar humor tees.
Fablebands

Mylene and Alyssa co-own Fablebands which sells book and fandom inspired headbands and scrunchies, along with some other hair accessories and apparel! While our team doesn’t own any yet, there are quite a few scrunchies we’ve got on our holiday wishlists. The “I’d rather be reading” one is a personal favorite.
